Hello, and welcome.
After nearly 40 years as an accountant in the finance industry, I stepped away from the corporate world and finally had the opportunity to devote more time to a long-held passion — photography.
For many years, I admired sunrises and sunsets through the glass of an office window, imagining the day when I could be outside capturing that light with a camera in hand. Today, as a landscape photographer based in Perth, Western Australia, I have the opportunity to do just that.
Much of my photography explores the remarkable landscapes of Western Australia — from its coastline and forests to the vast landscapes of the outback. It is an extraordinarily diverse part of the world, and one I feel I have only begun to discover.
Photography for me is about more than the final image. It is also about the journey — travelling to new places, getting up before dawn, watching the light change and sometimes simply being there when nature provides something unexpected.
This website reflects that journey and a significant change in my life, where numbers have given way to light, colour and composition. Through my photographs, I hope to share not only the places I see, but something of the experience of being there.
In a fast-moving world, photography gives us an opportunity to pause and look a little more closely at the beauty around us — sometimes in remote corners of the country and sometimes just beyond our own backyard.
Thank you for visiting. I hope you enjoy sharing the journey with me.
